Problem Solving and Personality in Security Officers

The study was conducted to examine the relationship between problem solving skills and personality traits of university security guards. research carried out with 190 personnel working at universities in 2019. In study, Problem- Solving Skills Scale for Adults Big Five Personality Questionnaire-50 Turkish Form were used. 83.7% participants male, 73.2% married, 68.4% high school graduates, 95.8% had in-service training. According logistic regression model, results our as follows: skill ‘Considering Effects Solution Problem’ OR= 2.33 times (95% CI: 1.028-5.29) higher female guards than males; ‘Problem- Through Modeling’ OR=0.48 CI : 0.237-0.987) single married ones; OR=2.18 (95%CI: 1.181- 4.047) ones whose ‘responsibility’ trait above median value. problem- found be related their traits, gender, marital status, time education level.
